Welcome to the “Mother of Slavic Cities”
Looking back through the centuries, Kiev has always been the historical center of Russia, for many centuries it was the capital of Russia.
Nowadays Kiev is one of the biggest cities in Europe. It is a bustling capital of independent Ukraine, its administrative, economic, scientific, cultural and educational center. This scenic city with population of over 3 million people is located on the shores of the Dnepr River.
Kiev is a city of invaluable historical and cultural monuments, a city of great events and outstanding people. Everyone will find there something especially interesting for himself.
And of course, Kiev is a great place for having fun. The city has always been very famous for its clubbing and underground culture.
The oldest club of Kiev, which exists more then 20 years already, is Vatra Club. The club offers its visitors various entertainments such as slot machines, Russian billiards and American pool. In the Vatra Nightclub there are two dance floors: The Wooden Hall, which specializes mostly in popular hits of European, American, Russian and Ukrainian stars and is busy with dancing people from the very beginning of the disco party; and the Underground dance floor where the guests can hear alternative dance music, and which is the place of the most progressive and versed youth gatherings. You can enjoy two podiums where you can demonstrate all your dancing skills (I am sure that after the 3rd cocktail your dancing skills will be perfect), and huge mirror that create illusion of extra space (extra space is good for those who are suffering of claustrophobia).
For young and progressive the best club to be visited is Opium Dance. The club became a very popular place among music gourmets; it offers exotic attributes such as hookahs, sushi, and soft sofas, which create special and relaxing atmosphere. On the second floor of the Opium Dance there is a spacious marquee, where those who like to smoke are welcome to spend some time trying various types and flavors of hookahs. In the chill out rooms the guests enjoy various alcohol drinks and listen to charming sounds of lounge music. VIP zones offer its visitors all pleasures one can think of and even those pleasures which one can not even imagine...
The most underground club is Magma. It is located under the highway and the name of the club is symbolic: it means that the club is the magma that flows inside the city volcano and that the nightlife in the club is hot and bright. The interior of the club also reminds of convulsions of nature: one can see unusual psychedelic patterns on the floor, decorated tables and other elements of design that match the name of the Magma.
Music in the Magma is performed by popular Kiev DJs; sometimes the club invites Russian and European DJs who know what a real good music is like. The quality of sound is one of the best in the whole city. The club boasts lasers that create fantastic effects and exclusive atmosphere of joy and great party.
The most exotic night place is Ganesha Lounge-Bar. Ganesha is an Indian god of wisdom, patron of trade and travelers, the one who helps to overcome obstacles. The Ganesha lounge-bar is decorated in Eastern style. You can see here girls dressed like Indian dancers performing belly dances or persons smoking hookahs. Club features a large figure of Ganesha who watches over the guests (I am sure that Ganesha is the best security guard). The visitors of the club believe that touching the large sculpture of Indian god will make them more successful and wealthy. You can also try your luck and touch Ganesha. Lounge is a very popular style in the club.
If after all you are not too tired, you should go for the night promenade along the Kreschatik Boulevard, which is the most charming and popular street in Kiev. The citizens adore this street, and the guests of Kiev try to visit it and feel its atmosphere.
